New FamilyFirst™ Alerts Instruction

We have launched our new FFA beginning of September 2006. The features are the same as before, but we have provided more options for you. As our current users we do understand the confusion with prior application and the new. We have created a reference guide to assist you in using our new application. How to Create Groups:

1. Click on Contact.
2. Go to Things to do (located on the top right).
3. Click on Manage groups
4. Type group name in the field.
5. Click Add
Once you have added your group name, then you can go to Contact to select your contacts to the group you have created.

 

How to create Templates

1. Click onto Template
2. From Choose from Template, select “new”, click next.
3. Type in your template
4. Click Next
5. You have an option for email. If you do not want to create an email template click Next.
6. You also havean option for voice the ability to Record/ Choose voice file. If you do not want to create a voice template click next
7. Input your title and description.
8. Save


How to Send Notifications

1. Select the methods to send your message (We have three methods for you: Text, Email, and Voice)
2. Choose / Create your template (we have provided more options for You)
3. Then, click go to step 3
• Select the devices to receive alert
• Select “Send Now” or “Schedule to send”
4. Click “Confirm” button.
5. Go to Calendar to check your scheduled notification.

How to use Calendar

1. Click onto Calendar (All your schedules, events, and other school related activities are shown on the calendar. When you have created or entered a notification, it will be sent to the calendar just to specify that either you have sent a notification or have one to be sent out at a later date.)
2. Double-check on an event.
3. Click the drop-down list, and click "edit".
